WHY ANOTHER SACRAMENTO YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP?

As a coach, as we move into the summer rituals that includes weights, passing league, and a smorgasbord of Sacramento youth football camps, I just want to throw my hat in the ring and tell you why we feel that Playmakers fills such a huge void.
Today we have choices of youth team football camps, individual youth football camps, specialty youth football camps and elite youth football camps, just to name a few. Parents with resources, or teams with willing booster clubs, send thousands of kids each summer to experience these football camps in Sacramento.
I have no quarrel with these camps as long as everyone is clear on who they serve. THEY SERVE THE HOST OF THE YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMPS IN SACRAMENTO OR THE OWNERS OF THE YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMPS IN SACRAMENTO.
Universities, including Fresno State, Cal, Nevada Reno and Stanford, host youth football camps that net thousands of dollars for the experience of being run through drills that evaluate players at the high school level. High Schools offer football camps in Sacramento (all for a fee) that often times consist of the most remedial drills, and the purpose is nothing more than to raise money for the high school program.
HOW ABOUT A “FREE” FOOTBALL CAMP IN SACRAMENTO
For its fifth year, Playmakers hosts FREE football camps in Sacramento to youth and high school players to benefit kids and teams who cannot afford to pay tuition for summer football camps. Playmakers goals include:
- CREATE A FAIR PLAYING FIELD FOR SCHOOLS WHO HAVE LITTLE RESOURCES
- SPEAK TO KIDS, PLAYERS AND COACHES ABOUT CHARACTER AND VALUES.
- CHANGE THE LANDSCAPE OF CAMPS THROUGHOUT THE STATE
- TEACH THE VALUE OF SERVING IN THE COMMUNITY
The tuition for all Playmakers camps is a COMMITMENT TO SERVE IN THE COMMUNTIY with their coaches. This “PAY IT FORWARD” philosophy is getting national attention. For more information on Playmakers football camps in the Sacramento CA area,
